KKM Receives RKB Recognition for High-Impact Reform Projects

PUTRAJAYA, 5 July 2026 (The Capital Post) – The Ministry of Health (KKM) has been recognised for its continued commitment to public service reform following the presentation of Reformasi Kerenah Birokrasi (RKB) Project Certificates to selected divisions during a post-Cabinet meeting session today.

The certificates were presented by Health Minister YB Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad to representatives of the respective divisions, following earlier recognition received by KKM Secretary-General Datuk Seri Hj Hasnol Zam Zam Hj Ahmad from Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar at the RKB Recognition Ceremony on 29 June 2026.

KKM received three recognitions under the High-Potential Project category, reflecting significant improvements in healthcare service delivery efficiency across key divisions.

Among the recognised initiatives was a project by the Digital Health Division aimed at improving the efficiency of medical record management in health clinics. Another recognition went to the Medical Development Division for initiatives enhancing the efficiency of healthcare financing mechanisms.

The National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) was also recognised for its regulatory reform efforts, which successfully reduced the approval time for critical drug registration from 245 days to 120 days. The agency also shortened approval periods for clinical trial import licences and manufacturing licences from 80 days to 48 days, significantly improving regulatory efficiency.

In addition, KKM received a Special Appreciation Certificate for the successful completion of 16 other RKB-related projects, underscoring the ministry’s broader commitment to streamlining processes and enhancing service delivery across the healthcare system.

The ceremony was witnessed by senior ministry leadership, including Health Director-General Datuk Dr Mahathar Abd Wahab, Deputy Secretary-Generals, and heads of various departments within KKM.

The recognitions reflect ongoing efforts by KKM to strengthen public healthcare governance through innovation, digitalisation and administrative reform aimed at improving outcomes for patients and the public. – The Capital Post.
