KUALA LUMPUR, 17 May 2026 (The Capital Post)Paydibs has strengthened its role in Malaysia’s digital payment ecosystem after successfully onboarding as a direct participant with Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet) for DuitNow QR (DNQR) acceptance.

The direct integration marks a major infrastructure enhancement for Paydibs, which previously offered DuitNow QR services to merchants nationwide through third-party arrangements with strategic partners.

With the latest development, Paydibs now connects directly to Malaysia’s national payment network for DuitNow QR transactions, further strengthening its merchant acquiring capabilities while complementing its earlier direct integration with FPX (Financial Process Exchange).

The company stated that merchants will now benefit from unified access to Malaysia’s real-time payment rails, including both online banking payments through FPX and QR-based payments via DuitNow QR, all within a single platform.

The announcement comes as Malaysia continues to experience rapid growth in digital payment adoption. More than three million merchants nationwide currently accept QR payments following the addition of over 680,000 new DuitNow QR touchpoints in 2025 alone.

According to Paydibs, Malaysia processed approximately 8.44 billion digital payment transactions in 2025, placing the country among the world’s leading adopters of QR-based payments.

To strengthen transaction security and user experience, Paydibs has also implemented dynamic QR functionality aimed at delivering safer and more seamless payment experiences for merchants and consumers.

The company said direct participation with PayNet enables faster settlement cycles, improved operational efficiency and greater control over transaction processing, allowing merchants quicker access to funds and improved cash flow visibility.

Tee Kean Kang, Chief Executive Officer of Paydibs, said the integration reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its position within Malaysia’s payment ecosystem.

He noted that direct integration with PayNet for DuitNow QR allows Paydibs to offer faster settlements, more efficient payment operations and simplified QR acceptance across banks and eWallets through a single platform.

The move also builds upon Paydibs’ previous infrastructure developments, including the introduction of Paydibs NEO, an all-in-one smart terminal that combines QR payments, card payments and Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services into one device.

Paydibs stated that its initiatives remain aligned with the goals of Bank Negara Malaysia and PayNet to accelerate digital payment adoption among micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) while supporting the continued growth of Malaysia’s digital economy. – The Capital post
